Helping Organizations
By:Jayden & Olive
Guess what? The Penny Harvest leaders collected $3,000 in the fall for penny Harvest. They narrowed the categories down
further by deciding that they wanted to help abused kids, endangered animals, & shelters that help animals. They
also interviewed the Golden Retriever Rescue. The leaders believe that each of these places are great organizations &
they would like to give some money to each of these organizations. The leaders will decide how much money they will award to
each organization & also whether they will be giving them the money or if they will be using the money to buy items
for organization. All in all this Penny Harvest was a lot of fun but a lot of work.

We had four weeks to get fifty bags of copper pennies or more. There was about two weeks to fill bags with pennies. As a school we had two weeks to fill bags of pennies. We had four bags. It was like trying to find pennies with our head cut off. Well we found a lot of pennies with our head cut off. Our goal was fifty bags and so the whole school searched top to botom of our classes and beat our goal with 61 bags of pennies. We put lots of extra icing on the cake.
